hbsag if test reactive means hepa B virus is present... HBV DNA indicates how much hepa b virus present in the blood... For me the Hbsag test is more accurate because there a HBV Dna result that are not detected but it doesnt mean you are not HB carrier....
HBsAg tests measure qualitatively or quantatively, the presence of HBsAg protein in the blood. If HBsAg is detected in the blood, it is a definitive marker of HBV infection.
HBVDNA tests measure the amount of HBV dna material in the blood. As hbvdna exists only inside a coated capsid particle in the blood, it is a measure of the amount HBV virions in the blood. Its presence also indicates HBV infection. However, a person under antiviral treatment may have "undetectable" (by current assays) hbvdna in the blood as the antiviral suppresses production of HBV virions.
All tests have their own limit of detection and sensitivity, but these are improving all the time.
