Hbs Ag

hay i am pregnant 3 months and find out after a blood test that i have Hbs AG but not positive!!! i don't understand but am so scared of this virus because of what am hearing in different hospitals, and am told that they can save my baby the delivrancy day so the baby wont be affected, but is there a cure for it, pleas help

If you have HbsAg, that is the same as saying your HBsAg tested positive, because uninfected persons will not have any HBsAg in their blood.

If you are HBsAg positive, consult a liver specialist to work in conjunction with your obstetrician - check your viral load, if high, get treated and make sure your baby receive HBIG and the first HBV vaccination within first 12 hours of birth.
