I HAVE BEEN FEELING SICK FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW(APROX.5YRS) I STOPPED SMOKING,REDUCED ALCOHOL AND HAD TESTS FROM TIME TO TIME.
JUST RECENTLY,I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH HEPATITIS B AND THE DOCTOR SAID IT´S CHRONIC.
MY QUESTIONS ARE
1.WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR THEM TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME?
2.HOW LONG IS THIS ILLNESS GOING TO LAST?
3.WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF ME INFECTING MY FIANCEE?
4.WHAT CHANCES DO I HAVE OF FATHERING CHILDREN?

I DISCOVERED THAT WHEN I EAT RAW GARLIC IN THE MORNING,I FEEL NAUSEOUS AND AFTERWARDS BETTER;CAN THIS HELP ME TO FIGHT THE VIRUS?
I FEEL THE VIRUS IS IN MY LIVER ALREADY;CAN I STILL WIN THIS FIGHT?

not good doctors at all, it takes same day to check for liver diseases tests and hbv is routinely checked even if liver looks normal
change doctors or clinic for more expert ones on hbv

2.HOW LONG IS THIS ILLNESS GOING TO LAST?
probably all your life, there is no cure for hbv and eradication is extremely low, the good is liver damage can be stopped even though the virus cannot, it is kind of hiv therapies

3.WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF ME INFECTING MY FIANCEE?
if she hasn t been vaccinated at birth and hasn t got hbv infection yet very very high,  check for hbv infection immediately and if she hasn t got it yet make vaccine asap

4.WHAT CHANCES DO I HAVE OF FATHERING CHILDREN?
100% you just have to make vaccine at birth for them

you have to check your liver damage by fibroscan and if not available by biopsy, there is no other test to check if liver is damaged.most patients have no liver damage, it is not virus to damage the liver but your immune system those with very weak immune system have the least damage
immune system is suppressed by hbv so it makes nothing to the virus it just kills infected liver cells without killing the virus, current therapies lower virus replication making liver damage 0% so you need therapies only if liver is damaged
