Help!!

Hi I am new here. So glad to find this forum.
I am 35 female with 3 little kids. I got hep b from birth and didn't find it out until I was 16 years old. When it was first found out, I was only surface antigen positive (e antigen negative) however 2 years later when I was 19 e-antigen positive with Elevated ALT and I went for treatment. A few years later, randomly rest showed e-antigen negative again.
I have been doing blood test and ultrasound every year to monitor. Until last June, everything seems fine except that ALT was always on the top range (37-45). Viral load in 2010 was 700iu, and kept going up was 4000 last June.
However. Last Tuesday my AlT was 280 and repeated again today is 350. Viral load was 200000iu.
I have specialist appointment next Wed.

I am very depressed and scared.i don't know how to handle this! Looking at my kids, I felt so helpless. I have been hoping my desease will just be inactive like most of my relatives in china.

I am also lost as I have been eating healthy, having salad for lunch any doing yoga . Nothing I could think of that make my condition worse.

Please help me and I don't want to be hooked with med for the rest of my life:

I cried for the whole night as I want to be healthy for my kids..

Hi flyinsky,

Do you feel symptoms whe your ALT are elevated? Also, are you currently under any treatment? I am going to see specialist on wed and really anxious about it. I am in Australia and I saw on the forum that our HEP b treatment may not as advanced as those countries in Asia where HEP b is popular.
I talked to my father in law who also have this. He had flare up when he was young and treated and now he is healthy 75old. His viral load is undetected. He credits it to NOni juice and some supplement called PEAKimmune.

My dream woul be just like my father in law. I can pass this flaring up stage without being hooked in antiviral for the rest of life.
Wish all the best to you and your family!

Yes the bad flu could have triggered it. I think it is exactly what happened to me...
You will probably be recommended by your doctor to return in 2-3 months and measure your ALT and DNA levels again...to see if they are dropping as your body takes care of the bad flu.

I would not stress too much...there are very good medicines available nowadays for it in the case your ALT and DNA values don't drop in the next couple of months....they will drop with either interferon or entecavir or tenofovir

dont worry maybe the stress wich makes you feel like that;also a rise of alat may show an  activation of virus and your bod0y try to defen+d it self but unfortu0natly it kills the liver infected cells
try to do fiboscan and fellow what your doc says
may he will put 33you Under treatement wich is efficient
the same thing is happening to memy alat rises til 201 then now are80 and next week i will do hbsag and viral load quantity  analyses

None of the symptoms are "in your head".  Trust me. They are all physical symptoms. I experienced a lot of them when the virus went active in me (appetite loss, weight loss, muscle loss, ringing in ears, weakness, weird sleep patterns, sudden fear of heights, etc.) You don't make them up, they are happening. Some doctors say it's due to stress and may prescribe you xanax for it. Stay away from that. Get on the meds for Hep B as soon as you can, it will help in the long run...

People usually start to notice many new symptoms that they never had before. But after being diagnosed start experiencing all of them at once. This is probably in our mind. You do not have to take medicine for life but until you clear hbsag. That is why it is important to know your qHbsag so you can monitor it and add on interferon to speed up the clearance.

I think I am more confused than depressed now. I was feeling healthier than ever before until I got the results last Tuesday. Since then, I noticed my appetite dropped and my sleep patterned changed and also had gum bleeding g.
Is it possible that my HBV viral increase as a defence to my increased immune system from all the healthy supplement I have been taking?
I got a bad flu one month ago but recovered soon. Could it trigger it?
Also, I start to taking vit B and D.
Those medicine you mentioned, do I have to take for life time?

HBV is a big stress especially for newly diagnosed but you have been living knowing you have it for almost 20 years by now, I bet you know how to take it easy and could give master class to just newly diagnosed . No need to cry !!! You and your kids will be just fine! As for viral load, tenofovir/baraclude will make your viral load undetectable easily and bring your ALT within normal range, meanwhile do qhbsag in ui/ml and fibroscan.

I am no specialist. I just have the same problems and I read a lot . for me, it seems that the virus may became active, but with treatment this days you should be able to make it inactive again...you don't have to panic...for hepatitis C they already find cure, I don't think it will last long until they find for B either
