Hep B Surface Ab

Hep B Surface Ab

I am a paramedic with a high risk job. A few years ago I was stuck with a needle. The needle proved to be from a clean person. Soon after I had to have a booster for hep and a titer test showed no immunities. I had to take the titer test again and again no imunities. The third time i had to take the shot series again sub q and  the titer test states non reactive. What does that mean!!!????

Some individual don't develop the HepB antibodies after getting the vaccination shots for HepB.  Ask your doctor to do another series of shots from a different manufacturer and retest for the antibodies again.  If negative or non-reactive still, it means you are still not immuned.  Hopefully that would not be the case.  Even if it is, not much you could do, just be more careful I guess.  Good luck.
