Hep B concern

by rw93535, Nov 05, 2009 02:37PM

Hi everyone...question about risk here...
by rw93535, 43 minutes ago
I am a 28 yr old female. I just recently started dating a guy who is 21 years old. He is anxious to have sex, but I am cautious. For one, he admitted to me that he has had bisexual activity in his past, but assures me he is "negative" of everything.

We have been dating three months and this is what happened:

Last night he really wanted to have sex, so I agreed to masturbate his penis. While I was doing this, he began to play with his penis also...I noticed a little pre-***. He wanted me to perform oral sex on him, but I wasn't sure of this...I agreed to lick his penis around the top part of the head. When I did this, I tasted a tiny bit of pre-***, but spit it out really quick. I didn't doing anything else after that and he "finished" masturbating on his own.

I am worried though, because after the event, I remembered that I have a tiny cut on the side of my lip and mouth from biting myself while chewing at breakfast. it's not a big cut, but just enough of one for me to touch it with my tongue and remember it was there.

I am very scared. I didn't see any sores on his penis whatsoever, but I am wondering if there's still a chance I could get syphilis or Hepatitis B from this.

I am very regretful.

i don't know the symptoms of the Hepatitis B, but i sure know that if a guy is suffering from syphillis he'll have a chancre on the tip of his penis. This chancre might disappear for a short period of time, but might reappear when it is in the tertiary stage.

It seems like you're a very smart gal....

thanks :-)

he had no syphilis sore at all...thank goodness! I am more concerned now about the possibility of hepatitis B than I am with HIV or syphilis. I know that the latter two are pretty much a non-risk at this point. still wondering about Hep-B though?

It is possible for you to contract HBV from this encounter.

Look on the bright side…you may already be immune to HBV. Have you ever been vaccinated or tested for immunity? If not, go get vaccinated so you never have to worry about it again.

If you get infected as an adult, then you have around a 95% chance of clearing the virus on your own and thus become immune.

Check out the welcome page. Maybe some info to help ease you mind and help you understand the disease so you can make informed decisions in the future to protect yourself.

Here's the blanket answer for "oral sex" and "windows" questions:

Google "safe sex".  If you have "windows" questions or "what if..." or "I have cuts on my mouth, tongue, etc...you are not ready for sex.  Your hormones are writing a checks that your brain can't cash.  That is the only explaination why you would put yourself (and in some cases, your partner) at risk.  The anxiety that results from risky behavior can't be resolved at this forum.  Talk to your doctor about STDs since HepB is just one of the many STDs.

You see that little purple flower next to my name.  It means I've been around and pretty much have psychic powers.  I could even make your threads disappear in this forum if I wanted to.  But blanket answers are mean to save time to deal the likes of yourself.

You plaster the HIV, STD, HPV forum with your stories trying to waste the time of stand-up people giving their own time to help strangers.

So do clarify for us if you are a gay male or female?

So consider yourself "OWNED"
