Hep B titer results

I am currently enrolled in nursing school and had to present my hep b titer results. I had the shots in 2004-2005 and the titer in 2006. My titer results show the result of >1000. My instructor which is a np has stated that I was or had to have been exposed to hep b for me to be able to get those high of results. My doctor has said that there is nothing to worry about and that no further testing is needed. I am just worried and would like to know if that is way to high and if I have hep b. Can someone give me some advice on this.

Why don't get a new set of results for 2010.  If your anti hbc are positive then you have had a past or current infection.

I don't have insurance and the test runs a couple of hundred dollars. My dr says that it is still going to be high because I have been immunized for hep B. But the NP at the school says that is so high that i have Hep B.

I just looked it up and HBSAB is surface antibody.

HBSAB TITER  >1000.0 means you have antibody against HBV.  You don't have HBV.

Thank You...... Just makes me nervous when someone tells me that it is too high and that I must have been exposed to it...
