Hep B vaccine reaction of Pruritis (Itching) update

Well it has been almost ten weeks of hell and I am finally starting to feel better. The itching seems to be fading 60 to 75% better. Hopefully it continues and completely fades. I stopped taking prednisone almost 2 weeks ago and am just taking herbal supplements. Whether they helped or not I dont know, just thankful this is finally starting to go away.

I caution anyone who wants these shots to read about the myriad of possible side effects and make an informed decision either way.

I am 31 yr old female who had sever adverse reaction to Hep b vaccine Have been suffering for over a yr.with neurlogical problems, have been tested for all kinds of diseases all tests come back neg.  Symptoms started within a week of the hep b vaccine.  I advise against the vaccine unless you are a extreme risk for exposure to hep b.

Thanks New Sojourn. I sympathize with anyone that has Pruritis. I went through hell after the Hep B vaccine shot and will never have another. Each day seems to be getting a bit better.

Glad that damnible itching is going away.  My's here to stay.  Pruritis is so hard to imagine or describe to someone else.  I do a maintance dosages of anti-histimines and avoid 'triggers', such as too much spices and caffine and citrus.

Good luck.  Don't let anything else get under your skin!

Thanks, I still go through times every day where the itching really intensifies, but not as much as the last 2 months and overall it bothers me a bit less each day but by no means is it gone yet. I can only hope more time will completely clear this up. I have a ways to go.
