My partner has just been diagnosed with Hep B - Does this mean I would get it automatically as we live together?

There is vaccine available for Hep B. You are 100% safe once vaccinated and developed antibodies. you dont get it by just living with each other or by having protected sex.

Please also bear in mind there are lots of other tests to carry out in order to get clear understanding. the relevent tests are HbeAg, HBV DNA etc. HbeAg neg with low viral load is far less infectious.

I have started my vaccination. First one was done yesterday, followed by second next month and the final dose after 4 months. Is there a risk to have sex with my partner during this vaccination period.

0-1-6 month schedule is the standard course. However, some people who need immunity quicker follow a 0-1-2-12 month schedule. You may prefer the second one because most people on the second schedule are immune by the third month.

Do not assume you are immune until you see HBsAb > 10 IU/ml. Until then, I recommend condoms.
