HepB test result

Hi, I just got the blood test back for my 1 year old. Can someone please explain to me what does it mean? Thanks!

Hepb core tot ab  [A] Reactive  Nonreactive
HepB surf Ab            Nonreactive  Nonreactive
HepB surf Ab   275.6 mIU/mL

Are you sure the second value is for HepB surf Ab and not HepB surf Ag?

The results seem to indicate your child is immune to HepB.

Yes, Zellyf is right. The second one should be HepB surf Ag. So my baby is not infected with HepB? Thanks a lot!

That's great.  Nothing like a anxious parent ;)

The results are fine.  It means the test person is immune to HepB.  

"Hepb core tot ab  [A] Reactive  Nonreactive" means she tested + for the core antibody.  That means your little one cleared a past infection on her own and is now immune.
