Doc, my girl friend has taken all the vaccines against hepB but i am under treatment. can we give birth to a non-reactive baby? I take lamdek(lamivudine 100mg) one per day, how effective is it? I am experiencing some minor pains below my chest. is my condition deteriorationg? I do jogging for half a mile every saturday in addition to other exercises..what are the effects on my health? sorry for the many questions. Thanks.

My daughter is negative and she did not take the vaccine at birth  she took like all other children, we have done the test three times and she is negative, she is almost 4yrs now, My husband also is negative,I guess bc my Hbe is negative and means am not infectious.let your daughter be vaccinated at birth that's all.

Yes, you and your partner can give birth to a HBV free baby. Since the mother is not infected, the baby will not be infected. But your baby should receive the first dose of the standard 3 dose Hepatitis B vaccine after birth. The vaccination is recommended now for all babies.
Lamivudine is effective, but has a very high drug resistance rate. If your viral load (hbvdna) has not decreased to undetectable in 6 months, you should talk to your doctor about switching to Tenofovir or Entecavir before Lamivudine drug resistance developed.
Exercise is very good, so is a healthy and balanced diet.
