Hepa B vaccine experience

by sinturon, May 28, 2007 12:00AM
what are the consequences if hepa b vaccine accidentally entered the venous route while being injected intramuscularly?

i had an experience, wherein upon injecting of the needle to my deltoid region, and then the nurse pulled the "plunger" of the syringe, but NO blood was aspirated... so she gave the hepa b vaccine. But when she pulled the syringe out, i noticed that there was a few blood which oozed in and appeared in the used empty syringe.

follow-up question: did in anyway hepa b vaccine entered my veins in this case?

Worse case scenario you might need another shot …other than that you will be fine.

It may actually be beneficial.  It will not do you any harm.

Could you explain why?
It is an interesting concept though.

Some people might not build antibodies at all. Some people might experience “allergic reactions”…Therefore there is a standard procedure for HB vaccination.

If you will introduce HB vaccine via the main stream you have next disadvantaged:
1. There will be no localization …Can you create stable immune response?
2. If you are “allergic” or …possibility of uncontrollable reaction + other health problems …?

…Just trying to understand your concept.
