Hepatitis B Blood test results. What do they mean?

by Spoolie, Nov 26, 2001 12:00AM
I am adopting a little girl from China. Her hepatitis test came back as    HBsAg  negative   HBsAb positive   HBeAg negative  HBeAb negative  HBcAb negative  Does she have hepatitis? Is she a carrier? Does she need to be vaccinated? Will she come down with it later? Has she been exposed and is now immune? One pediatrician said it is nothing to worry about but I don't understand. Thank you
