Hepatitis B DNA not Detected

well my question is about my latest Test Results which says:

SOURCE : BLOOD ** TEST** HEPATITIS B VIRUS BY PCR
HEPATITIS B VIRUS BY PCR [ Final Report ]

Hepatitis B virus DNA not detected.
Principle of Assay:
HBV qualitative assay incorporates standardized purification of HBV DNA
and real-time amplification of HBV gene encoding for HBV surface
antigen.
In this assay fluorescently labeled probes are used and monitored for
intensity, which is directly proportional to the target (HBV DNA).
This assay can detect a minimum of 500 copies
of HBV DNA/ml.
NOTE:
Correlation of results with clinical and laboratory findings are highly
recommended.

HEP.B.SURFACE ANTIGEN
..............
Result
Reactive (5820)
Normal Ranges
Cutoff rate is............1.0 (Test Performed By ECLIA)
                          (RECHECKED)
Please note that this is a screening test for Hepatitis B Surface
antigen, performed on third generation ECLIA Cobas 6000 (e601)
utilizing electrochemiluminescence immunoassay.

She wont be infected if she is vaccinated....before that you check her Hbsag..if its negative she can be vaccinated and will gain immunity after three shots of vaccine... later it is safe to have sex despite ur infection

So the hbsag quantitative 1500iu/ml is the threshold value that we have chance to clear hbsag?

Thanks for your reply, can you please tell me that which test i further need to verify my medical record ? Is it hbsag quantitative ?
Is there any difference in HBV surface Antigen and hbsag quantitative, because i think that both the test are same, please guide me with your experience..

Kind Regards,
Misbah

your hbv is not detactable in blood but it is of course detactable inside the liver because hbsag is still positive.to know if you have really cleared hbv you dont have to make hbv pcr but hbsag quantitative, if it is lower than 1500iu/ml you can definitely clear by pegintf

Dear All,

I have just join this community and have a query, which has become very important to me for immigration visa purpose...
About a year ago, when i have given blood donation to one of my office colleague reports state that HBV(Reactive)
When i consult to the doctor, he advise me to further detail investigation by HBV- Surface Antigen and  PCR test, i then performed these test by the reliable lab in the country (AGA KHAN LAB) the test state the following results;

Name of Test               Result
HBV surface Antigen    Reactive (4007)
HBV by PCR               Hepatitis B Virus DNA not detected.

My consultant asked me to not worry and further told me that you have a dead virus in your blood and it can not be reactive again.
But currently i have advice to medical test by Immigration authority Australia, as i have applied for immigration, i am worried that what would be in my case can i score positively in my medical test for immigration please share you doctrine in accordance with my case....

Regards,
Misbah

check hbsag and hbsab to know if your wife had already hbv

if hbsab is und and hbsag negative she didn t have it and needs hbv vaccine to be fully protected.do check hbsab level after vaccine because about 5% doesn t respond

hbvdna undetactable

it means nothing, i had it most of my life with normal alt but i got cirrhosis.it just means you have no liver damage now so the virus can live and replicate longer....infction or virus replication at low levels or by cccdna has nothing to do with hbvdna und

HEP.B.SURFACE ANTIGEN
..............
Result
Reactive (5820)

eclia is a useless and very old test for cronic carriers, it is totally meanless.check hbsag quantitative by architect or roches quant

we know nothing about your hbv stage and liver damage, check our helath pages for the tests needed
