Hi Basaa -
I just go diagnosed with Hepatitis B today. Can you help me on how I can get the Indian ayurvedic medication for treatment? I am in the USA.
Thanks
hello doctor
i was infected with hep b past 2years i took indian ayurvedic treatment after every six month i tested it was postive in my third test Hbsag and DNA Hbv it came negative i tested recently HbsAg postive and DNA HBV it became negative what it means.I am going to marry my doctor said at present the result it will not affect (transmit) to ur wife but he suggested me take a hep b vaccine for my wife is this true.what is ur opinion
WHAT IS MEANT BY BLOOD TEST" HEPATITIS B SURFACE ANTIBODY NON REACTIVE". DOES IT MEAN THAT THERE IS NO ANTIBODY TO FIGHT THE INFECTION AND ONE SHALL GET HEP B VCCINE? BS
I would say TREAT since the goal of treatment for chronic e-antigen negative HepB individuals is to supress the DNA to undectable. Your high DNA indicate that you have a active disease. ALT tends to fluctuate so normal range doesn't always mean that there is no liver cell damage.
I do not know if you need treatment.
