Most of us we re antigen e_and anti hbe+ and this is not so important.other tests are needed like viral load ultra sound fibroscan hbsag quantity .but since your alat asat are in normal range isa good indicator but alone is not sufficient you need especially fibroscan to evaluate your liver.ask your doc to do it asap because according to it plus other tests you will know if you need treatment or not.
And I don't believe that there are person like your wife parents!!!!!you are not obliged to tell them any thing this concern you and your wife because you will live together.the most important is your wife loves you and accept you in spite of your illness.good luck
My antigen and antibody to antigen looks good as per the doctors.
You should also measure your viral load (hbvdna) to get a complete picture.
Hepatitis B is a chronic illness, not a fatal disease. There are now very effective treatments to prevent the progression of the disease to a serious stage. Treatment is only given when it becomes necessary, but is usually long term until a cure appears.
There are many married couples where one partner is a chronic Hepatitis B patient. They have children and most Hepatitis B patients live a normal life span if they are treated when it becomes necessary.
Nobody can guarantee how long you are going to live, that is why the marriage vow is for better and worst, for richer and poorer......
Good luck.
