Hepatitis B and Marriage Help

I in a relationship with a girl and it all started as arrange marriage and now it has turned into love last week i did my Hep B(HbsAbg) test (Its Chronic) and i came positive there after i did my Liver Function Test and everything is very good in liver as per doctor , I'm currently going through AntiGen E and AntiBody To Antigen Test and reports would be coming today but now the real problem has come from her parents which is quite obvious as they dont want risk there daughter life by getting married to a Hep B patient.

Myself and her even visited Doctors together and consulted about the disease and they said its all fine to get married once she takes Vaccines of 6 Months (3 doses) and i should keep checking my liver every year just to keep a watch and i should eat healthy and stay fit apart from that there are no medicines for it to cure.

Now she is going to take her parents to the doctor to let all there doubts cleared by doctor itself same doctor whom we visited she understands(She is physiotherapist) the things but does not want to go ahead if there a health risk involved here which is rationally correct as well.

Are there people here who went ahead with ahead marriage despite knowing partner is Hep B positive ?

Most of us we re antigen e_and anti hbe+ and this is not so important.other tests are needed like viral load ultra sound fibroscan hbsag quantity .but since your alat asat are in normal range isa good indicator but alone is not sufficient you need especially fibroscan to evaluate your liver.ask your doc to do it asap because according to it plus other tests you will know if you need treatment or not.
And I don't believe that there are person like your wife parents!!!!!you are not obliged to tell them any thing this concern you and your wife because you will live together.the most important is your wife loves you and accept you in spite of your illness.good luck

You should also measure your viral load (hbvdna) to get a complete picture.

Hepatitis B is a chronic illness, not a fatal disease. There are now very effective treatments to prevent the progression of the disease to a serious stage. Treatment is only given when it becomes necessary, but is usually long term until a cure appears.

There are many married couples where one partner is a chronic Hepatitis B patient. They have children and most Hepatitis B patients live a normal life span if they are treated when it becomes necessary.

Nobody can guarantee how long you are going to live, that is why the marriage vow is for better and worst, for richer and poorer......

Good luck.
