Hepatitis B ques

Hello,
I tested positive for Hep B core antibody, and negative for the surface antigen and surface antibody.   On the cdc website there were 4 possible interpretations, one being "might have undetectable level of HBsAg present in serum and person is actually chronically infected".   If this is a possibility what additional tests would I need to know for sure if I have a chronic infection or not?

I have had some strange symptoms that include fatigue, numbness of hands, arms upon waking from sleep, stumble over words, eyes very dry, irritated in late afternoon, left rib cage protruding a bit, left eye slightly smaller/lid drop, and constant neck and shoulder pain.

It also could mean 3 other things.

Only a specialist dr will be able to answer your question with more testing.

I had the same lab results in 1999

Core antibody            POSITVE
Surface antigen         NEGATIVE
surface antibodies     NOT IMMUNE (NEGATIVE)

NOW..............................................

8 years later, my lab so far is Core antibodies now NEGATIVE. (still waiting to hear back on the surface antigen)....

I don't know how these results happen. Let alone why my antibodies would go form Positive to negative 8 years later.

I will have a call back from my doctor hear in a few hours with the rest of my results....if he gives me an explanation on all this, I will be sure to let you know!
