Hepatitis B vaccine dosage

Hiii doctors and everyone out here..I had my Hepatitis B vaccine two months ago, I am a nurse and a nurse friend was the one who administered the first dose of vaccine to me..I understand that the second dose should be four weeks after the first dose, however, I wasnt able to comply with that, its been two months now since I had my first dose of Hepa B vaccine and I havent had my second dose.What shall I do???..can I have my second dose now that its been 8 weeks since I had my first dose???..or should I start all over again, since I missed the second dose on suppose date that I should have administered it???...By the way, the vaccine's brand name is Recomvax..Thanx..waiting patiently for your response..God Bless..

first there are no doctors here. i think i remember my doctor saying if i missed any doses that i would have to start over. my doc said it is important to get shots as close to dates as possible, 2nd in 30 days and 3rd & final shot 6 MONTHS later.  since you are not having a doc administer the vaccine then i would email the maker of the drug and ask them. they usually respond to questions very quickly.

i looked into this further and on the CDC website it states to pick up where you left off. in other words it is NOT necessary to start all over from what i read. please check it out yourself to make sure i read it right.
