Hepatitis-B

Recently I have been tested for some Hepatitis test & by the reports I came to know that I am Hepatitis-B positive.I do't know from when & how I affected with HBV.
Please help me friends.
My pathological tests reports...............

HBeAg-Hepatitis B Envelope Antigen,serum by REACTIVE (1393.079) Non Reactive:   Below 1.0 S/CO
CMIA     Reactive: Above & 1.0 S/CO


HBsAg (Confirmation), serum by CMIA POSITIVE (3853.49) NEGATIVE
This test is used for the confirmation of the presence of HBsAg by means of specific antibody neutralization in biological samples found to be repeatedly reactive.



Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) DNA Quantification (Viral load)- COBAS TaqMan

Test: Quantification of HBV DNA from patient's plasma or serum by standard procedure on COBAS TaqMan

Equipment : COBAS AmpliPrep and COBAS TaqMan

Limit of detection : 20 IU/ml

Conversion : 1 IU is equivalent to 5.82 copies/ml

Measuring Range : 20-170,000,000 IU/ml

Specificity : 100% with a confidence limit of 99.54%

Results:
HBV DNA Quantification-COBAS TaqMan >989400000 copies/ml IU/ml

u have written in your reply to sumon5250 that '.the advantage you have now is that you already have the infection....but u can prevent the disease...that's what we are all doing....' my mother is HbSAg +ve ,LFT normal, HBVDNA is 2580iu/ml(last year it was 37iu/ml only).
.how can she be prevented from the disease..plz guide..

Your liver might be OK, but you must do ultrasound and fibroscan to confirm. Your hbvdna is high. I guess you need to show a good doctor too.

101............It's an infection, just like common cold virus ...not a disease...the disease is when your liver becomes inflamed(clinical hepatitis)...thank God you now know cos a lot of people really don't know until dey come down with liver damage....the advantage you have now is that you already have the infection....but u can prevent the disease...that's what we are all doing..........nice start dear...just follow the results up, and seek more expert counseling

I am sorry but you have put to many details Like limits of detection etc. Just put test and your value. I would also suggest show your results to a good liver specialist. Also duo liver ultrasound and fibroscan.
