I just wanted to mention the arthritis is now more severe and occurs anywhere and at any time, is usually bilateral and is debilitating.
Thanks
I will try tokeep this short and also provide the info you may need. In 1978 I contacted hep B from a needle stck. I developed arthralgia and myalgias as a prodrone. When jaundice appeared the arthralgis went away for a short time and then came back. They continued for about 6 yrs. and then just diasppeared. In March of 2007 I recieved the D-tap vaccine and 3 weeks later developed similar but more severe joint pain in hands and feet assoc with fatique, malaise and muscle fatique. All blood work has remained normal except for one elevated c-reactive, and a consistent slight elevation of ALT in the 70's. I also have a fatty liver, and have been on prenisone for past 3 yrs. Have also been on colchicin, metheltrexate, humira, and now enbrel. I have had spontaneous remissions for one or two months. In July I was admitted to the hospital with a severe flare-up and I was found to be hypoxic and now on home O2. My Rheumatologist wants me to see a gastro guy and possible liver biopsy and my PMD says no. In 2008 my hepB Core AB, Igm was negative and in 2010 my HepB Cor AB Tot was positive. I'm not sure what to do so won't do anything at the moment. If you have any idea's I would appreciate hearing them. thanks.
Check the titer. If it's >10 that will mean you still have protection and don't need to repeat them.
Why don't you just test your HBsAg and anti-HBs? If - and +, then you are fine.
