Hepatitis from birth?

I have been diagnosed for the past 6 to 8 months with severe B-12 and Iron deficiencies. I am being treated with B-12 injections and Iron infusions, however, I'm trying to find the underlying cause of these problems. One question I have is if I possibly could have gotten Hepatitis from my mother at birth? I know that she had contracted it as a child from a blood transfussion. From what little I have read, in children that have this virus... many later have chonic hepatitis and don't even know it because they show no signs. Does Hepatitis cause Vitamin and Mineral deficiencies?

My mother has since passed so it isn't like I can just ask her or go to the doctor with her to be tested ... I'm not even sure which Hepatitis she had.

One of the easiest ways to get tested: donate blood. They'll test you for hepB, hepC and HIV, and let you know if you tested positive for any of them.

u havent told us if you have Hep B or not though. if so then what is your status, blood work results, hep b profile , liverr panel, etc...
