only as regards hbv, make vaccine and then check hbsab antibody titer 4 weeks after each vaccine dose, once hbsab is equal or more than 10miu/ml you are protected and dont need to test or care for hbv anymore

thanks for telling me that hsb do not get chronic. I am of 25, the incident had happened with me where the cotton was kept on a tray, i felt that tray was not clean there were drops of blood, all this happened during blood draw compaign where everything was going so fast. If the cotton caught some blood and the nurse pressed my vein and i kept it for one minute foldind my elbow. Could i get infection like that.

I am concerned about HBV & HCV.

Should i go for test if yes after how much time. I am from asia. Tell me for both HCV and HBV.

Pls tell me i will be grateful to you all. Thanks.

If you can tell me what are present in the cotton wool, in what quantities, the size of your puncture mark, the state of your immune system, then I can give you an educated guess.

The the prepared cotton ball thing is a common practice - how do you expect the nurse to withdraw the needle, go and tear off a bit of cotton wool, and press  it on the puncture mark, all in one go? And why would some one placed a dirty cotton wool ball on you? Accidently? Next thing you would ask is what if the the nurse accidentally coughs all over you.

i felt during the blood draw after injecting me the lady pressed my vein with a cotton ball which she kept on a tray which was not totally clean i might felt it was blood. could be there accidentally what if the cotton ball soaked the blood.
