see if you follow your doctor you end up with no working drug left and zefix (lamivudine) and hespera (adefovir) make hbv mutants that is for sure
no who pays your doc to presc hespera?
it is an hiv failed drug, an hbv failed drug, kidenys tox, resistance mutants from the first year of use, who is so stupid to use it now?
the only first line drugs for hbv from 2009 are: interferon, tenofovir, entecavir.
zefix you can sue your doc if he prescribes that, it makes all hbv drugs useless except tenofovir, tell your doctor to go back to university he cannot prescribe drugs not used anymore that worsen disease
change doctor right away:
tenofovir no resistance mutations, most potent drug on hbv, reduced potency on hespera mutants
entecavir 1,2% of resistant mutants at 6 years, entecavir doesn t work on previous lam users
my doctor said that hepsera is good for long-term use. resistance might happen but not as high as zeffix....is that true?
attention hespera is not reccomended anymore because too weak and a high resistance profile and kidney toxic sides, infact the post is from 2007
tenofovir is the new drug recommended instead of hespera, it is a 100 times more potent and very few toxic concern with kidneys
In the US, Hepsera is by presciption only. Any decent pharmacy should carry it.
