How Do You Test For Hep A/B After Vaccination

by feanorius, Oct 11, 2008 11:58AM
I finished the Hepatitis A and B vaccination series and was confirmed that I have the antibodies for Hep B but not A to see if the vaccination worked, but I wanted to know what tests I would need to take to see if I have Hepatitis A or B even though I was vaccinated? Like say I was infected before my vaccination w/o even knowing it how would I now find out if I have Hep A/B or not?

If you were infected with Hep A before, then you must be immune against Hep A without vaccination;  if you were infected with Hep B before, then the vaccination had no effect unlese you were HBsAg(-) and anti-HBs(-).

Please have a doctor figure you out.

Best.
