How to make Hbsag negative?

Is there any cure or any medicine to make Hbsag negative?

I was tested medically four years before for a job and found hepatitis B positive. Then I consulted a doctor,he took my complete hepatits tests and told me nothing to worry because hepatitits b virus was non-reactive.But when tested medically it shows positive.

I am much confused because this HbsAg positve is really doing problems for my jobs and career. Please guide me what to do and how can I get rid of this HbsAg??

Hi.. I came across this site as I was browsing through online informations about hepatitis b.. I've taken the hbsag quantitative test just recently as a requirement for my application abroad.. THe clinic used ECLIA serum method for detection.. My test came out positive with 8330 IU/L.. Does this mean I have chronic hepatitis b infection?.. I haven't had any of the symptoms described, though.. I don't have jaundice, fatigue, nausea or vomiting, and I've been maintaining a healthy lifestyle.. I exercise regulary and I rarely drink light beer.. Rarely as in once in 6 months.. Can you please give me an advice on what to do?.. I'd greatly appreciate it.. Thanks in advance..

Hi stef, I incidentally got the tested positive for HBSAg in year 2007 when applied for a job in Gulf. Then worried a lot when declared unfit for the job. I consulted a hepatologist in the city and he advised the further tests. The test reports were HBSAg +ve. HBeAg 0.38 Negative and SGPT 34 and SGOT 28 and ALK Phosphate 4.9, Platelet 205, TLC 6106, Hb 14.8 and HBV DNA Quantitative was less than 3.8 IU/ML where IU = 5.8 Copies and U/S was showing fatty liver. Then doc. refereed me as a "Inactive State Carrier" Screening of my spouse and mother and father was also done, they are were found HBSAg negative and were vaccinated at that time. Now after 9 years in 2016 I again got tested for HBV DNA Quantitative and its value is 112 IU/ML. All LFT is ok, KFT is ok, CBC is also ok. HIV is neagtive, Anti HCV is negative. I want to know that am I still an inactive carrier or I have become active now? Am I prone to spread the disease to others in my contact ? I am feeling very insecure. I used alcohol also in last 5-6 years many times. Please let me know of any possible treatment. Thanks Charanjeet Singh

no, not possible by current medications. only viral load can be supressed and u can live healthy. opt for western countries for ur carrier. they dont discriminate like gulf countries. very rarely few people remove hbsag on their own luckily

I got an offer from Oman and went for medical test through GAMCA in October 2014 and medical report is unfit stating that HBS AG is Positive and the value was 1.46 as per old kit of ABOTT ARCHITECT i1000 SR . When I tested in the month of July 2015 the HBS AG test value was 0.46 as per old kit of ABOTT ARCHITECT i1000 SR( GAMCA APPROVED HOSPITAL ) . Again in this month i got tested at GAMCA APPROVED hospital and the HBSAG value is 11.96 ( NEW KIT OF ABOTT ARCHITECT i1000 SR ) .

My question is how to interpolate the two readings i.e as per old kit value and new kit value.

Please clarify me with any information.

With regards,

B.Srikanth

Dear Sir,
I need your advice
I have been HbSag and Hdvag positive for 27 years
2012 hbsag 5500iu/ml, no dna
2013 hbsag 6600iu/ml, no dna
Liver enzymes and bilirubin were slightly elevated. . .
I feel perfectly healthy,
Does the presence of hbsag mean ongoing inflammation?
Should I take any medication?
Should I be worried about hbsag quantity elevation?
Thank You!

nothing fast unless hbsag is less than 1000iu/ml and even in this case it is a 1 year treatment

to know if there are chances check hbsag quantitative in iu/ml (elecsys or architect machines)

you have 2 choices, first check your genotype too

tenofovir for about 3 years and peginterferon add on or peginterferon monotherapy and see if you have response by 24weeks

What do you think regarding these parameters. Has any chance to be negative after some times? What should I use?

ALT 27 u/l
ALP 61 u/l
Hbsag 643.7 iu/ml
