Immunomodulators relation to cancer?

Immunomodulators relation to cancer?

I talked to a friend of mine today who has graduated at the Faculty of Pharmacy recently.
I was asking her about Alinia (nitazohanide), but she said she had never heard of it. Nevertheless, she told me that immunomodulators cause cancer almost certainly, so I am a little bit confused because I've read some articles that it inhibits cancer. Any ideas?

just graduated, too ignorant to understand immune modulators pathways of interferon on hbx protein, the one with main hcc promoting activity, they clear HCC at least liver hcc

antidiabetes drugs or bitter melon may help to get rid of hbx influence (especially antidiabetes drugs show even regression in vitro), interferon beta also clears hbx and blocks HCC development

consider also that doctors and liver specialist are ignorant about hbv.....graduated have the same knowledge of hbv as a baby, i tell this because i happened to hear during a train trip students studying it for an university exam, old views about 5-10 years old about hbv....mostly superficial and wrong

As far as I know, it is the X protein (of the HBV) which is responsible for causing liver cancer (HCC).

Thank you Stefano for the clarification, something didn't sound right while I was listening to her theory.
My best
