Interpret Partial Test Results
Hello All,

I was diagnosed with Hep B a couple of months ago, and had very severe onset (enzymes >4,000, bilirubin at 16, etc.).  I do not have health insurance, so I have just been resting at home and getting test results at a lab.  Today my partial results came in.  My HBsAb (antibodies) measured at 3.5, but the HBsAg results are not in yet.  But I think this is good news.  I think that HBsAb above 1.0 indicates immunity, which would mean the HBsAg is gone.  Can someone help me to confirm that my understanding is correct?

I think that also means I am not contagious, and maybe at some point this summer I'll be able to have a beer again :-)

Thanks!!!
