Lamivudine

What should one do if HBV develops resistance to lamivudine? Is lamivudine in Ghana. If it is, which company or organisation is handling its sales? Thank you.

I can only help out a little...

there are three medications currently approved in the U.S. for treating hepatitis b infections, interferon, lamivudine, and adefovir dipivoxil. I do not know what is available elsewhere.

Telbivudine is one of some very promising noveau drugs for treating hep b.

There are treatment options. Sometimes, depending on the mutations,
famciclovir can be effective.

God bless!  -Michael
