Long prognossis

Pls could u answer my question. Are long prognossis vary that much for those who re infected as newborns to those who became chronic hbv later om in lives???

Thanks Sorte. I was just curious when stef or somebody else writes a comment saying "you will dye of something else...." Etc do they have in mind everybody infected? Are they thinking only of those who infected as adults

I guess it's very personal, for example I know a woman who was infected probably at the birth or as a child and in the age of 40 her fibroscan is F0

How much we sholud be worried? If we were infected as babies? I am so worried cause my doc is so positive that i was infected as baby?

Do we know how high the chances of hcc are?

research says those infected at birth and under 5 have a higher chance of hcc and liver cirrhosis vs those infected during as an adult. It seems to correlate with the longer duration of infection worst outcome.
