Milk Thistle

How many among you are taking or have taken Milk Thistle. I started taking one tablet a day and Doc was amazed to see decline in the Viral Load from 11000 to 120 in less than 3 months. Cant be absolute if this was because of Milk Thistle or something else..

No diff on ALT remained 80.. rest normal.

interference with drugs but if not on any drug
Milk Thistle is very good to reduce fibrosis and oxidative stress on liver which is increased by hbv

not Milk Thistle they were just the normal flactuation on cronic hbv especially if hbe negative, it has a mild antiviral effect that has been studied already, more on hcv than hbv, but never very very mild nothing that can make what happened to you, it also interferes with other antivirals

on the contrary Milk Thistle has an antifibrotic effect and lowers alt since it is a strong antioxidant, it is useful only to lower fibrosis but if not taking antivirals.i didn t use it becaue the interference effect on antiviral but it is one of the best and potent antifibrotic known togeter with bluberries
