Missing dose

I have been on Truvada for almost 2 years now. For some reasons, the pharmacy couldn't order my prescription until next week, so I might miss my dose for 2 days. I called the doctor to have him do something about this, and he told me that it would be okay to miss it for 2 days since I already reached undetectable HBV DNA for more than a year.

How could I dare to miss my dose since I've been told by him 2 years ago that I couldn't miss it?

Am I going to be ok for missing 2 days?

I think so since I have read others stopping intentionally for a few days and then continuing without reporting any effects.  Of course, you should keep the missing as short as possible.

if you can get from another pharmacy or hospital that is better, missing doses is never good and can lead to resistance although 2 days should not be a serious concern

if possible i'd change pahrmacy if they are not able to do their job you should give your money to them

also consider that truvada is made of tenofovir and embricitabine, if they have single agents available i'd get them although you have to take 2 pills instead of one until you finish the box
the quantities in the pills are exactly the same although i don t know if embricitabine is sold as single agent
