Hi,I have read and on the forum usually through the contributions from stefano and others about the efficacy alinia
monotherapy and at other times about the efficacy of immune modualtors-interferone and alinia and again about entercavir or tenofovir and alinia combo in hep b treatment .Pls can you expantiate on the comparative advantage one has over the other especially with recent development in hepatitis b treatment
alinia 4 weeks monotherapy and then pegasys+alinia, alinia at 1,5 or 2g daily doses because 1g is useless, with food every 6-7hrs.if you have the possibility to add lam or etv that would be good to decrase hbsag and improve eradication
tests that might tell you if you have good chances of eradication low hbsag at 1500iu/ml or lower
combos less effective but without the sides of interferon
pretreatment with alinia can make response to etv or tnf much faster
interferon lambda would be the absolute best interferon to try but still on trial
infergene is better than pegasys but not marketed in europe so don t know if available, it requires multiple weekly shots.infergene acts on more cellular receptors so some pegasys non responders can get a response on infergene
