My TAF study was extended for 5 more years!

I found out today that the study which was going to end in 2017 was extended for 5 more years. Needless to say, I went ahead and continued it. This is a huge opportunity for me and my blood will be used for additional research as well towards development of other drugs and cures so I will be helping others out as well.

If anyone was curious as to what I was doing before, I had a thread here where you can reference some things:

Here's to hoping I clear it before then!

Thanx for your quick response Luckyman 316. I must wait for its FDA approval. I wonder if I can use it if my viral load is 1769iu/ml. Alt normal,no cirrhosis, no fibrosis, e antigen negative with its antibodies positive. Thanx.

A sample of TAF or sample of my blood? Either way, that would probably violate my agreement with Gilead and they'd kick me out of the trial. I have no say what or where they send my blood, but I can always make some suggestions. I can't hold onto any TAF. Anything extra I have left over before the next test, has to be turned in. And believe me, they count the days.

TAF is not even available where I am, only on the clinical trial. It has yet to be approved by the FDA. You would have to check with the South African government to determine when or if it would be available.

I don't see anything about that on the trial, but anything can change over time. This is something I'd need to get done on my own.
