New HEB B NEED HELP!!
Back in March I found out my husband of 5 years had recently been cheating on me with 4 different women then on April 1st I found out I was a month pregnant and also had a STD screening. I went through several different heb b tests just to get them to come back neg, positive, neg, positive. Now my doctor is saying I have it and that I have no immunity from it. Which I am unsure what that means.. I'm scared, angry, and confused. I also have two small children one is 6 and the other is 2. Can they catch it and if so how. I know the blood to blood contact but are there other ways. I have been so cautious. Also my husband just got tested today but can he been immune from it. Is there any chance he wont have it? I have not had and surgeries, tattoos, blood to blood with anyone, any of other sexual partners. So the only way I could think is from him.. Can anyone help answer any of my questions.
Too Many ignorant doctors the hbv vacine used is crap, it has only one hbsag protein and an extremely higb ratesof failure, we posted the study years ago and rate was veryhigh around 20-30% if i remember correct
Definitely change doctors, never heard they had vaccine so they re ok without testing if this crap vaccine worked and failure is not so uncommon i have relatives in medical field who never respondedso they had to keep working in lab exposed to the risk of getting it

I had the test done and called myself to get the results sent over to my OB, then my ob told me the results. I took both boys to the doctor and I have asked 2 different doctors about getting both of my sons tested and both seemed pretty adimint about not getting them tested that they are in all clear. Because of vaccines and all I know from my test results is that I am not immune to the virus and I am showing recent exposure and he said that I do have heb B. I wont get to speak with the specialist myself until october.
Steff gave good advise for outside the U.S. If you are in the U.S. then you of course need a physician script to take to a lab in order to get blood drawn. Your doctor is wrong, just because they had their vaccines does not mean they are in the clear. You need to first test to make sure they don't have it (HbsAg) and then test titers to make sure they are protected (HbsAb). If this doctor is ignorant, take your kids to a new 'specialist'.
If you left the 'specialist' without answers or understanding I would find a new doctor, they are not good or taking care of you, especially if still pregnant. Lastly, you are the patient and have the rights to your records. I keep ALL my records. If in the U.S. they will have you sign a disclosure to release them, but if I were you I would do that today and then post what the doctor tested.

Get the tests posted here and get baby tested, these tests are same day ready, extremely cheap and in free countries you just go to the lab and have the tests results by few hours
Cant u get your tests by email or fax, afteral they are your tests not doctors...i really dont see how doctors can keep patients tests if they can keep private like money in a bank they should face extremely expensive fines

I see a specialist and thats where I got my results from. I just wont see him again to get the results and know whats really going on until a month. As for the kids they seen him as well and he said there was no need to test them because they have had all their hep b vaccines. Also with both pregnancies and where i got tested a little under a year ago they see no need to test them.

I read your first post again. You are now still pregnant, correct? You need to see a specialist ASAP, as if you have high viral DNA and your HbeAg is positive your baby has a high chance of being chronic. If this is the case, the specialist will give you antivirals during pregnancy to lower this chance, then when born your baby needs HBIG and 1st vaccine, then a month later needs vaccine #2, at 6 months needs vaccine #3. At about 9 months of age you can test the 3 tests I told you your other kids need to make sure your baby you are pregnant with now is protected. This is all very important to stop the disease from going to the next generation.
I've had 3 kids while having chronic HBV. I had low DNA so was not on antivirals then, but my kids all followed the delivery vaccinations like I layer out and non of them have HBV. It's imperative you test the kids you have now.

Those tests I gave you will tell you what stage you are in. Also, if you are going to a liver specialist they will tell you as well. You are right, when pregnant they do test and if this was done just last year hopefully you are acute and will clear. Only these tests I told you will tell. It is rare for an adult to go from acute to chronic.
As for your kids, get HbsAg, HBcAb, and HbsAb tested. Many pediatrician a are clueless (depending on where you are located in the world). You need to have these 3 done. If protected from HBV only HbsAb should be positive.

I do not have the results to the test yet. I wont get the actual results until I go back to the specialist. I am just so confused. I am not sure if I have chronic or not. I am unsure if I have acute or anything. I know nothing about it.

If you have it and your husband doesn't have it, and you didn't have other sexual partners, then you can be 98-99% sure that you got it either during your birth from your mom, or in childhood.
What does your specific tests say? We need HbsAg, HbcAb (IgG and IgM), HbsAb, HbeAg, HbeAb, AST/ALT, DNA.
