Occult Hepatitis B Infection May Be the Cause of Unexplained Liver Cancer
http://archive.mail-list.com/hbv_research/message/20110906.212656.72940fa6.en.html

since only biopsy with cccdna and pgrna can find some of these cases of occult hbv, maybe nagalase level in the blood maybe able to find occult hbv without biopsy.
occult hbv has hbsag negative, hbvdna undetactable in most cases, normal alt, very low cccdna on biopsy

as to liver cancer nagalase would be the best marker because it is detactable much before any cancer is detactable even liver cancer
