Dr. Said that the liver biopsy and ultrasound came back good.  I have a healthy liver Stage 0, or grade 1, with very little inflimation.

Now I bet I have had this for at least 10-15 years so I guess I am kinda lucky to have no liver damage.

The Dr. gave me a perscription for Lamivudine (SP) and he also offer me pegasys peginterferon alfa-2a instead of the Lamivudine.  Pegasys is an injection I would take once a week everyweek.  The Dr. Said that I would have a 25 to 40% chance of clearing the virus if I took the peginterferon alfa2a.  Now is this true.

I am always hopeing for the best so I keep thinking since I have probably had this for about 10-15 years and I have no liver damage and my DNA count is only 102000 that I can beat this can clear my system.

Now tell me what you all think of my results, which treatment I should consider, the best way to pay for treatment and if the dr. is correct that I wouild have a better chance of clearing the virus on Pegasys.  He said if it was him he would do the injections.

Any thought or help.

thanks man, I guess that isn't very good news.  is 102,000 a high viral count?  The dr. said it was good that is was low.  I Mean I even see people in there post that they have viral counts in the billions and millions.  just wondering.

So maybe I shouldn't take the laimune (SP), and ask my dr. about something else.  or should try the injections pegysus.

can you explain the difference or what is the mutant strain, precore or core promoter mutants.  you said they are common, common how they are hard to beat or treat.  I am lost when it comes to the precore or core promoters mutants.  should my dr. have determined which one i have.  also should he have told me the genyo type?

Basicly he informed me as to the information that I posted above and perscribed my medication.  he did say the virus may build up a defense against the meds.  thats why he said that he would go with the pegyious injections.

but if the virus builds up a defense your saying it will be harding to treat?

just wondering if I am understanding you.
