Please Help Interpret My Wife HBV Test:

13 April 2014:

Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) 0.00         IU/ML 1000.00         mIU/ML         <10.00
Hepatitis B Core Antibody (Anti-HBc), Total 0.18         Index <1.00

Nov 2013:
Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, Serum Non Reactive Non Reactive

Aug 2011:
HBsAg                      0.01 IU/ml         <0.05

Will this be the right statement base on the report (Immune - surface antibodies present. You may have been already vaccinated, or you have recovered from a prior hepatitis B infection. You cannot infect others.

Hi, you have not mentioned anti Hbs levels, which are the antibodies and hence protective. Also is the HepB Core antibody IgG? A Anti-HBs a level of greater than 10-12 mIU/mL is protective. If HepB Core IgG Antibody is reactive, than it may indicate an infection in the past, which was resolved by the immune system. Regards.
