Tenofovir and Entacavir cost roughly around 500$ every month but I believe there are generic drugs available at cheaper price.
Only PegIFN has side effects:
Flu-like symptoms. This is a collection of familiar symptoms that include headache, fever, chills, and muscle aches.
Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
Depression and other changes in your mood. You should take extra precautions if you have had depression in the past and are taking peginterferon. Most side effects can be controlled with antidepressants or other medicines, but it's important to respond quickly to any behavioral change.
Nausea and vomiting
Skin rashes
Extreme tiredness
Loss of appetite and weight loss
Some people may experience many more side effects.
This list is taken from this link http://hepatitis.about.com/od/treatment/f/Peginterferon.htm, go there for a complete list of sides.
Discuss with your doctor different options. You need to check your ALT, DNA count and do a fibroscan to determine liver damage and see if you need any treatment at all.
Thanks for the reply.
I never check yet my HBV DNA count but i'll try to have that soon.
How much is the cost of treatment?what are the side effects?
Thank you again.

Hello eqe
You have a chronic HBV infection. You need to check your liver damage (ALT) and do a fibroscan or biopsy for your liver in order to determine if you need any antiviral treatment to stop and reverse liver damage. Fibroscan is much more reliable with no risks compared to the biopsy.
Also, what is your HBV DNA count?
If it is > 20 000 IU/ml and (ALT > 2 x ULN, ULN = 19 for women and 30 for men, or positive biopsy) then you should consider treatment with Tenofovir or Entacavir (until Hbe seroconversion) or PegIFN alfa-2a (has side effects).
There are other drugs still under testing, check Alinia and entry inhibitors threads.
