Hello my Alt was 50 should I be concerned about hep the range was 40
Just because you have high ALT, does't mean you have Hepatitis B (or A or C, etc.). It can be a number of things. Do you take a lot of motrin or Advil? Any other mediciations? Do you drink a lot? My friend had an ALT of 57, but no Hepatitis. I'd classify as a borderline alcoholic though and his doctor told him that his drinking is what caused his ALT to go up. If you're really worried about any Hepatitis, then please go see a Liver Specialist or a Hepatologist to get testing and rul it out. Thanks!
Hi, that is not too high, is it possible you had a bear the night before? Medication can also raise it. What is your AST?
