Question

I have a question regarding KIDS,  I have a daughter about 1 1/2 years in age. We have a daycare in our church and one of the girls that watches the babies is about 13 years old. When I went in to pick up my daughter from daycare I seen the girl kissing my baby (Which is fine) when the girl came up to me to hand me my baby I seen that her lip was bleeding (Had a spot of blood on her lower lip) So my questions are

1. How likely is it to transmit HBV to my baby from this girls bleeding lip?

2. How likely is it for a 13 year old girl to have HBV?

3. Should I be worried about this?

Please help! I am worried

Thanks so much in advance.

All kids in the US  are getting hb vaccine at 1 year of age and all schol children are vaccinatet otherwise they wuldnt be acceptet in schol, this girl is 13 sinse all pregnent women are testet for hepatitis and all children vaccinatet at birth  I belive she did not have HB but just in case have your children get immune globilin and hep.b shot in 24 hours afer accident.

you have to worry especially because hbv gets cronic on babies and young adults while adults clear infection 9597% cases, so vaccine makes sense at birth not later

just make vaccine to your babies and family, countires without healthcare don t have mandatory vaccination at birth which is the only way to be safe from hbv infection and eradicate virus forever

1. How likely is it to transmit HBV to my baby from this girls bleeding lip?
if the other baby was infected there is risk

2. How likely is it for a 13 year old girl to have HBV?
depends on the conutry if there is no mandatory vaccine at birth infection can occur

3. Should I be worried about this?
yes your baby must get immune globulins and hbv vaccine.even if not infected the vaccine is there to be made to babies not to wait for situations like this to happen

CA, are you from california?how is it possible you don t have vaccine at birth since you are not a third world country?
