I really don't know Stephen but some times it feels like they hold the cure drug on purpose making sure their existence on market.

Pharma can withold a drug, FDA only approve or disapprove a drug based on clinical trial evidence.

Royal36 I agree. I think they like to make things incremental in terms of access to cures. So we'll get a cure but it will be after tonnes of money has been spent barking up the wrong trees and in about 10 years I remember back a few years ago people had been told by the ceo "yep three years"and here we are what are they saying "three years" lol...

I agree, I think we need more people asking pharma the hard questions.more pressure to do the right thing, but how?

The POTUS met today big Pharma Ceo's and promised to minimize the FDA drug approval time so who knows we might see cure in our generation...

I need your help,

I am recently diagnosed with HEPB+ as part of general check up. 1st time I am in medical check up, HBEAG_,HBEAB+ DNA1000IU/ml, Ualtra sound, ALT and LFT are normal.Doctor said inactive carrier. My kids are age below 6 and vaccinated, my wife tested Negative. My age is 37, I am not sure when this got infected.any idea?

I am struggling with depression and always thinking and crying about this and my kids etc.I am diagnosed with Type2 diabetic at same check up. Because of this anxity or some thing else I am getting body shivers some times. Is this due to diabetic or some thing else. I am thinking about phycriatic counseling.Ur words can help me on this. I am working in IT, not able to concentrate.I am scared to live long with my kids.Ur words can help me a lot

Your present feelings are very understandable following a shock discovery of both Hepatitis B and Diabetes, but your situation is far from unique, and many people in the world are in the same boat. Both diseases can be very well treated and controlled, and you will live a normal lifespan if you monitor and adhere to your treatments. To help yourself, for both conditions, you should stop drinking and smoking, change your diet(a must for diabetes) and exercise regularly. Your wife should get vaccinated for Hepatitis B, if she has no HBsAb. This is a precaution and peace of mind. As for depression, we all get it sometimes, ask your doctor for Prozac, it should help and you can come off it later.
There will be a cure for both conditions in the future.
