Shall I worry

I have HB for more than 20 years but after the acute phase all liver enzyme markers are excellent(checked once a year). Shall I worry of Cirrhosis and cancer?

fibroscan is much better or biopsy, since hbv carrier from 20years with no full tests there is no way to know what's the damage in the liver now, it maybe nothing probably but can also be cirrhosis like it happened to me because i didn t make fibroscan and checked alt once a year in the last years

anyway start from a full hbv markers and then if virus active we need  to know what is liver damage

yes i did the same and ended up with cirrhosis

alt must be checked every 3 months, hbvdna every 6 months, fibroscan every year (to check the amount of liver damage), ultrasound every 6 months to check for liver cancer

alt once a year is almost useless
