Thanks for your information Stef.
they are very good to clean toilet or rusted metals...just to have an idea what they can do...plus the sugar which has been found more toxic than alcohol lately
Thanks Stef for your suggestion. I will stop having Pepsi and Coke from today.
it all depends on the quality of life one wants to achieve, this has nothing to with hbv but for general healthy life, in this case any processed drinks with sugar, which is much worst than alcohol, makes damage
if you take it few times a year, it makes no difference, but if you routinely consume it weekly it makes no sense to try having a healthy life
these products are addictive like cocaine and other drugs, infact it is ridiculous to even think about it consuming it and the only reason you think about it is addiction
the only thing healthy is real wine which has some resveratrol and is something the body can use, 1 glass a day or few times a week can be good if hbvdna is und and liver is without damage
I completely agree with Andrey. I am having Coke and Pepsi once in a while. Hope this should be fine. Please suggest if I really need to stop it completely, I can do that. I thought occasionally it's fine.
I think you are taking it too emotional! Ever heard of moderate drinking? I have been to a couple of world class hbv specialist and just saying what they said to me when I asked them about alcohol. In fact the more experienced and older doctor I visited their answer was one or two drinks per week just fine but less experienced doctors would say absolutely NO. And believe me after being this forum member for so many years I can easily distinguish experienced doctor from doctor that knows nothing about hbv but try to act as he knows everything.
I will not show you any reputable study as you want simply because there is none on the net. But there is also no study saying that two drinks will kill you even with hbv.
In fact there are studies about alcohol and hbv. But if you look, they are all about heavy alcohol consumptions that is defined as more than 80 mg of pure alcohol per day during 5-10 years. But what does it have to do with glass of wine or bottle of beer even couple of times per week?
couple of drinks per week will not worsen your hbv status and will not increase your chance of hcc. Smoking is certainly needs to be stopped.
Sorry but you'll have to stop drinking and smoking completely as both of them are elevating your chances for HCC a lot.
My estimate is that curing medicines for Hep B will be widely available on the market sometimes between 7 and 15 years from now.
I think 10-11 years from now would be the most realistic scenario.
In the meantime you thank God for entecavir and tenofovir, which shall be saving you until the cure arrives. But you'll have stop drinking and smoking....
Hello friend,
Personally I believe that anything we do if it's not out of control, we can continue. But as you already know that you have HBV, I suggest you to avoid as much as you can. I am not sure how alcohol affects liver for the person with HBV.
Regarding cigarate, I would stop smoking as its not good for health as such. I don't think it's something to do with HBV.
Regarding cure for HBV, I am least bothered about it. Even cure comes today in the market, I am not going to take medicine as it will be very expensive. I can take the medicine if it's available in the market for the cheaper price.
As everyone knows all the HBV scarcity is because of the pharmacy companies, no need to worry much about the disease. Every one has to die with one or other disease one day, why to hesitate for if. But try to maintain healthy life style as much as you can!!
