you got wrong community this is hbv not hcv, totally different viruses.
hbv makes no damage if there is no immune response and cant be cleared because integrated in human dna .....much more complex than hcv or general viruses, hbvdna load doesn t have a meaning without overall status
are you on treatment? Have you considered treatment? its about the only thing that will bring your viral load down. I have done treatment twice now, this is my third time. Went with the Incivek my viral load after 6 weeks is undectable. Now going for SVR..
hbvdna means nothing, the virus makes no damage to us it is our immune system to make the damage so you dont have to check for hbvdna quantity but you have to see if your immune system is active or inactive (immune tollerant)
if you are immune tollerant you are ok and dont need to worry about a thing, you are perfectly healthy.
to know this you need these tests:
fibroscan, to see if liver has damage, if it has damage your immune system is active if you have no damage you are inactive/immune tollerant
hbsag quantity, this is very high on immune tollerant and below 20000-25000iu/ml on immune active
hbvdna is very high on immune tollerant, so you are probably immune tollerant
ast/alt usually normal on immune tollerant and abnormal on immune active.unhealthy life can make these little abnormal
Do you have a gastrointestinal doctor, or one who specializes in your area (the liver, or hepatitis)? You need one. Ask him/her about the new treatments with interferon. In the meantime take milk thistle and echinacea (2 vitamins/herbs available at any pharmacy) that have shown to be remarkably helpful in lower Hep counts. Good luck and God bless.
