so about 3500iu/ml, it is a low hbvdna, see my other post i'd make full tests to understand situation and if good to get rid of hbsag on the contrary if hbe negative i'd monitor until liver damage gets to at least f2, if hbe positive i'd try interferon to make it negative
Thanks again for the advice, you're always highly knowledgable on the subject. I will do the sun therapy and yes, L.A. is kinda like a third world country now and its over crowded so that's why it takes such a long time to get an appointment. I'll keep you updated. Take care.
Are you saying six months since initial infection or onset of symptoms?
from hbsag positive, make quantitative test in iu/ml just to see if it is decreasing and if hbeab is positive, the 5th month should be hbeab positive and hbsag declining
take 15-30 min sun per day not more this will help have good vitamin d level which is actually an hormone not a vitamin, it is one of the most potent immune modulators so it will help for sure
as to one month for an appointment with a doctor looks like a 3rd world country not LA....
Are you saying six months since initial infection or onset of symptoms? I'm going into month five since the initial infection, as for symptoms (mild ones, yet apparent) It has only been a couple of weeks. I try to rest as much as possible but I still have to work (10.5 hrs a day, 4 days a wk) so I hope I'm not putting myself at risk of being immuno-compromised. Also trying to stay away from as many artificial ingredients and chemical additives as possible, drinking lots of water (about to start adding liquid chlorophyll, very good for you), keeping a positive attitude/praying/laughing. However, the ex is not fairing too well, he's still kinda out of it and dragging around, not very interested in learning about his condition, doesn't know or care if he is chronic or acute (maybe depressed). I just wish I could get an appointment sooner with the gastro specialist, these docs in Los Angeles are pretty busy I guess. Not really sure if I can request my own labs and have my insurance pay so I'll just wait it out till my next Dr. visit.
hbvdna 20,672 is it iu/ml or copies/ml?
inactive carriers have hbsag lower than 500iu/ml and hbvdna lower than 2000iu/ml, all others have cronic hbv in inactive phase if alt/ast normal but hbv will reactivate from time to time
those totally inactive are always inactive, hbsag lower than 500iu/ml means immune system is controlling hbv and can suppress its replication (hbsag is the main antigen of hbv who s believed to suppress immune system and keep cronic infection)
hbsag<500iu/ml has also a high percentage of seroconversion by year, i don't remember exact numer but was in the 10% range, those who has higher hbsag has 1-2% seroconversion rates per year
clearing just depens on immune system strength whatever the quantity of the virus, actually hbv as adult is nothing to worry about for the most only the 5% who gets cronic and don't know about it because it has no synthoms are in real trouble
if you like you can go to a lab (if insurance covers) and make the pannel liver test but hbv markers and virology tests are not really important now since immune system needs about 6 months to clear antigens
Is it possible for someone with viral load(HBV DNA) of 20,672 to ever clear it?
I can't eat as much as I used to and my appetite has become pretty poor. The darker urine is spooky and a constant reminder that I have this virus in my body. The nausea comes and goes the tiredness is not too extreme, but when I look in the mirror I just look kinda run down sometimes. I just hope when I see the gastro doc next month he tells me I'm clearing this thing, I need to be healthy, I have a pretty active job. Wish me well, pray for me.
Not yet Stefano, after my primary care physician saw me, she shipped me off to a gastro specialist and I won't see him for another month. I guess they don't think its really urgent or they just don't wanna deal with a "highly infectious" .patient at this time
usually the few who gets synthoms clear the virus and don't get it cronic, otherwise the liver gets damaged fast, have you checked all hbv markers and liver panel test?
