Updated Test results, and interferon

Hey guys:

Just got my most recent labs.

sAg pos, anti-sAg neg.

cAg neg, anti-cAg neg.

eAg neg (used to be pos), anti-eAg pos (used to be neg)

ALT's down to 74 from 278, AST down to 39 down from 125.

Doc says it's a precore

discuss with your doctor a combo option (antivirals + interferon), look like this has the best chance.

also see http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Hepatitis-B/Pegasys-or-antivirals/show/1621917 they are a lot of good hints and good questions.

Sorry... Accidentally hit submit.

... Mutant. Going for updated PCR test, first liver biopsy, and psych evaluation to begin interferon sometime before the end of the year. Doc thinks I have a good chance of clearance with interferon, as high as 25%, with interferon as opposed to antivirals.

Any thoughts? Has anyone cleared with interferon? How long did it take? What symptoms of interferon did you have?

Thanks!
