Vit D PTH quesiton

I went to get my PTH tested today.  The doctor wrote it down as parathoromone.  The nurse could not find it and assumed it was parathyroid horomon and said something about PTHA.    Are these the same things?  Do I need to go back for retest?

I called the lab and they told me that they only test intact pth so I guess we are good. Thanks Stef

yes they are the same thing but you have to be sure it was the intact parathormone, if not intact it is not good

pth not intact is not used anymore but better be sure
