Vitamin B12 and Vitamin-D

Hello All,
Good Morning and Good Evening to friends on the other side of the sphere.

Hey, my Doc. did a annual test and found that my Vitamin-B12 levels and Vitamin-D levels well under the normal levels (I have Hep-B, Fibroscan-F2, <6KPA). The doc has asked me to take B-12 and Vit. D tablets (supplements). I am vegetarian so I dnt get those out of my food, is it ok to go with those Vitamins?

thanks

Does that mean vit D effect on boosting immune system is no longer active when HBV is present ?

it means hbv suppresses vitamin d, so normal doses or sun exposure might not work.healthy people can get normal vit d by just 10min exposure per day, we need about 5000-10000iu daily by pills...sun doenst work usually

absolutely, you wont find vit d in food it comes from sun only, but anyway both are suppressed by hbv because have bossting effect on immune system and antivirals effecton hbv

a study just showed hbvdna und on those with high vit d, so take vit d3 from 5000 to 10000iu daily until vit d 25oh gets >50ng/ml, the higher the better but not more than 100ng/ml.check serum calcium after 3 months because some very rare with other diseases or partcular sensitivity might have calcium increase
