What is is the meaning of HBe Ag Non-Reactive and Anti HBe Reactive?
Hi, My father is diagnosed as Hepatitis B infected. Virology Reports shows following values:

HBe Ag: Non-Reactive, Cut Off Value: 1.00, Patient's Value: 0.386
Anti HBe: Reactive, Cut Off Value: 1.00, Patient Value: 0.04

Hepatitis "B" Virus DNA Quantitation Report: Not Detected.

SGPT (ALT) Value: 61.00 U /l
I am interested to know what all that mean?

Thanks & Regards,
Farhan

no meaning in term of infection and clearance, hbsag quantity in iu/ml is what guides all

hbeag is much better because hbsag is easier to clear on treatments, hbeag negative has virus mutations and is much more difficult to clear.

the tests you have done are almost useless, you are missing the most important tests to define infection status, see other posts for the main tests to define status
